Jessica Katz is a native of West Hartford and is currently living in Burlington. Following a passion of horses she’s had since childhood, she graduated from Centenary College in Hackettstown, N.J. in 2003 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Equine Studies. Upon completion of her degree she worked and trained with horses in Florida, Vermont and Connecticut.
Realizing horses were more of a passion as opposed to a career choice; she switched gears and started to work for Regional Physical Therapy in Bloomfield. While she enjoyed working with people she felt that she could do more to help them. She decided to go back to school and pursue a career as a dental hygienist at Tunxis Community College.
While in school, she traveled to Belize for a service learning project, worked in different community settings and volunteered at the Mission of Mercy. She graduated with honors from Tunxis Community College in May 2010. She is currently working at Katz Family Dental. When she isn’t working, she enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, horseback riding, scuba diving, hiking and being outdoors.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven. There she also earned her degree in Dental Hygiene. Jennifer has been practicing dental hygiene since 2006, and has been with Katz Family Dental since 2009.
When not in the office, Jennifer volunteers in Connecticut school systems to educate children and parents about optimal dental care. Jennifer enjoys taking continuing education classes for dental hygiene and is CPR certified. She is also a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA).
In addition to her dental hygiene career, Jennifer has achieved certification for the Natural Disaster Response Team. Part of her duties include taking DNA swabs and bite registrations for a database to aid in the recovery of missing children. Jennifer has also recently earned her certification in Holistic Nutrition.
Mary-Eileen grew up in West Hartford and still calls the town home. She is a 1995 graduate of Hall High School. Prior to coming to Katz Family Dental in October of 2011, Mary-Eileen worked as a medical records and office manager at a skilled nursing facility.
When not working as one of our two friendly receptionists, Mary-Eileen enjoys spending time with her husband and their newly adopted black Labrador retriever Richie. She also enjoys baking, crafting and vacationing when she can in Virginia Beach.
Linda has been in the dental field since 2005. She finds the field of dentistry rewarding by helping people improve their oral health, rejuvenate their smile and impact their general health.
